BACKGROUND
Board of Supervisors adopted the Napa County Library policy, Section 29, authorizing the Library Director to accept on behalf of the Napa County Library donations in the amount of $2,000 or less, and up to $10,000 by Friends of the Library groups to support existing Library services and programs. Director of Library Services and Community Outreach seeks the Board's approval to accept a donation in the amount of $10,000 from a donor who wished to remain anonymous. The donation will help fund projects and programs provided to the community at the Napa County Library.
Requested action:
1. Accept a donation in the amount of $10,000 from an anonymous donor.

Discretionary Justification:
Deposit of donations into the specified library location budget will facilitate fiscal monitoring and ensure that donation spending will be consistent with the intent of the donors.
Is the general fund affected?
No
Future fiscal impact:
None. Donated funds will be deposited into the Napa Library fund 2020, subdivision 2020001, and utilized for upcoming projects and programs offered at the library.
Consequences if not approved:
If the requested action is not approved, the library will not be able to accept the $10,000 donation to help fund projects and programs provided to the community at the Napa County Library.
