Approve and authorize Amendment No. 6 to Revenue Agreement No. 200130B with California Department of Public Health (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children), to increase the contract maximum by $500,000 for a new contract maximum of $3,328,653 through September 30, 2025. BACKGROUND
California Department of Public Health's (CDPH) Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a federally funded nutrition program available at no cost to eligible low income pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women and children up to age 5. The goal of the WIC program is to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at risk by proving nutritious foods to supplement diets, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, referrals to other health care and social services as needed while empowering families in building a healthy future through their local WIC clinic. There are nearly 2,000 WIC participants in Napa County. The monthly food benefits issued by WIC increases participant access to healthy foods and contributes to the local economy.
Approval of this amendment replaces Exhibit A (Scope of Work) to reflect an updated remittance address; Exhibit B (Budget Detail and Payment Provisions) to reflect the increased allocation amount for one year only; and Exhibit D (Special Terms and Conditions) to reflect updated language due to CDPH revising their contract documents.
