BACKGROUND
The purpose of the event was to support community engagement and distribute vital information on County emergency resources to rural residents within Supervisorial District 3. The 2nd Annual Food, Good News & Resources fair was held on August 12, 2025 at the Pope Valley Fire Station (2386 Stagecoach Canyon Rd.).
The event was an opportunity for Supervisor Anne Cottrell, Sheriff Oscar Ortiz, staff from the Office of Emergency Services, Napa Communities Firewise Foundation, Napa County Fire, Napa County Public Health, Napa County Public Works, Napa Valley Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD), UpValley Family Centers, Napa Community Animal Response Team (Napa CART), Calistoga Community Emergency Response Team (Calistoga CERT), Napa Resource Conservation District (Napa RCD) and more to discuss key issues affecting rural residents, hear input from the public, highlight various non-profit groups, and offer resources and support.
The Board approved funds will cover event costs incurred while planning the event, such as light food and non-alcoholic beverages, and supplies. The event was free and open to the public countywide. Approximate attendee count was 130.
