Title: Director of Emergency Services and Public Works Director request the following Budget Adjustments to purchase an HP L365 Printer and a Flatbed Applicant Table for a total cost of $35,505 partially offset by the 2019 Homeland Security Grant Program (4/5 vote required): 1. Increasing capital assets appropriations in the Emergency Services Grants budget (Fund 1000, Org 1024005) with offsetting revenues from Roads Operations (Fund 2040, Org 2040000) by $5,525 and also by decreasing other objects within its own budget by $14,431 and establishment of capital asset in the amount of $19,956 in Org 1024005 for the purchase of an HP L365 Printer and associated items; and 2. Increasing capital assets appropriations in the Roads Operations budget by $15,549 with the use of its available fund balance and establishment of capital asset in the amount of $15,549 in Org 2040000 for the purchase of a CWT 1428 Flatbed application table and associated items.

RECOMMENDATION

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Board previously approved acceptance of the federally funded FY19 Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) for the period of September 1, 2019- May 31, 2022. This item allows use of some of those funds, combined with Roads Department funding, for the purchase of an HP L365 Printer and CWT Flatbed application table to be utilized by the Roads Division. These units can be used for quickly printing signs in an emergency situation to facilitate public communication and signing of hazardous areas or evacuation routes.
