BACKGROUND
The requested 3.25% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) effective October 10, 2026, the first full pay period in October, is consistent with the Memoranda of Understanding previously approved by the Board of Supervisors for the Deputy Sheriff’s Association (DSA) Law Enforcement and Law Enforcement Supervisory Bargaining Units. For the remainder of the fiscal year the COLA amounts to approximately $42,300 for District Attorney DSA members and $350,000 for Sheriff’s Office DSA members for a total of approximately $392,300 for all DSA employees. Annually, the COLA amounts to approximately $62,000 for District Attorney DSA members and $510,000 for Sheriff’s Office DSA members for a total of approximately $572,000 for all DSA employees.
Requested Action:
Implement a 3.25% COLA effective October 10, 2026, for DSA Law Enforcement and Law Enforcement Supervisory Bargaining Units.
