BACKGROUND
The Napa County Department of Corrections and the Napa County Sheriff's Office utilize vendor-provided inmate watch security guard services for jail pre-bookings and inmates requiring medical care at Queen of the Valley Medical Center and/or hospitals or medical facilities in Napa County and surrounding areas. On September 18, 2023, the County Purchasing Agent signed Agreement No. 240159C with Signal 88, LLC, for inmate watch security services for Napa County Department of Corrections and Sheriff's Office.
The Napa County Department of Corrections and Sheriff's Office would like to amend the contract to extend the term of the agreement, increase the hourly and overtime rates, and increase the maximum annual compensation to $130,000 for inmate watch services.
Requested Action:
Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 240103B with Signal 88, LLC to extend the agreement through June 30, 2029, and revise the compensation rates and maximum annual compensation.
