Approve and authorize Revenue Agreement No. 260283B with the California Department of Public Health for a contract revenue maximum of $542,466 for the term July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2030, for disease investigation and intervention services and programs. BACKGROUND
California's Department of Public Health (CDPH) Sexually Transmitted Disease Control Branch (STDCB) mission is to reduce the transmission and impact of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), viral hepatitis and monkeypox virus (mpox), particularly among communities disproportionately affected by these infections.
The Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) Workforce Development allocation is to develop, expand, train, and sustain disease investigation and intervention workforce, and address jurisdictional prevention and response needs. Funding may be used to scale prevention, increase capacity to conduct disease investigation, ensure appropriate treatment, link people to care and ongoing case management, monitor disease trends and rapidly respond to changes in disease trends and outbreaks of STIs to provide equitable prevention, services, and control efforts to Napa County residents.
Approval of this agreement allows Napa County's Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) to accept funding for Fiscal Years 25-26 through 29-30 to continue supporting HHSA's Chronic Disease and Health Equity program.
The revenue is budgeted as follows:
Year 1 - July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026: $60,274.00
Year 2 - July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027: $120,548.00
