BACKGROUND
With the deletion of the Digital Innovation Officer position, the Web & Digital Media Specialist classification has increased its scope of authority as the sole position remaining from the Webmaster (previously reclassified to Digital Innovation Officer in March 2025) managed team which included Web Support Analysts (previously reclassified to Web & Digital Media Specialist in June 2026). Additionally, a title change to Digital Communications Specialist reflects the evolution to multiple modes of communication now utilized by County communications.
Requested Action:

Amend the Table and Index of Classes, the Department Allocation List for the County Executive Office by adding 1.0 FTE Digital Communications Specialist and deleting 1.0 FTE Web & Digital Media Specialist, and appropriate personnel policies, effective August 29, 2026.
