Approve and authorize Amendment No. 1 to Revenue Agreement No. 260107B with California Department of Public Health (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children), to increase the contract maximum by $103,725 for a new contract maximum of $3,173,547 through September 30, 2028; replace Exhibit A to reflect increased participant monthly caseload requirements; and replace Exhibit B to reflect the increased allocation. BACKGROUND
California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a federally funded nutrition program available at no cost to eligible low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women and children up to age 5. The goal of the WIC program is to improve the health and dietary needs of low-income families by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to other health care and social services as needed, while empowering families to build a healthy future through their local WIC clinic. There are nearly 2,000 WIC participants in Napa County. The monthly food benefits issued by WIC increase participant access to healthy foods and contributes to the local economy.
Approval of this amendment replaces Exhibit A (Scope of Work) to reflect updated participant monthly caseload requirements; and replace Exhibit B (Budget Detail and Payment Provisions) to reflect the increased allocation amount.
