Director of Human Resources and Director of Library Services and Community Outreach request adoption of a Resolution amending the Table and Index of Classes and the Departmental Allocation List for the Library, by deleting one 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) Library Marketing Associate and adding one 1.0 FTE Marketing and Media Associate, effective October 17, 2023, with no net increase in FTEs, and no fiscal impact.

If approved, this request amends the Table and Index of Classes and Departmental Allocation List by replacing a classification that was incorrectly titled in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Approved Budget.

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
In the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Approved Budget, the Library deleted a vacant Library Associate II allocation and added a Library Marketing Associate. If approved, the requested action corrects the position title to Marketing and Media Associate. There is no fiscal impact associated with this request, as the salary range for both positions remain the same.
