BACKGROUND
The Napa County Courage Center housed within the Monarch Justice Center has received federal grant funds from National Children's Alliance in the amount of $28,549 to purchase a digital video and audio interview room system. The Courage Center has an existing system that is reaching end of life and needs replacement. This digital video and audio interview room system is used to record and store sensitive interviews for child victims of crime. To facilitate this purchase, staff requests the approval of a Budget Amendment of $28,549
Requested Actions:
1. Accept federal grant funds in the amount of $28,549 from National Children's Alliance;
2. Authorize the purchase of a capital asset in the amount of $28,549 for the digital video and audio interview room system;
3. Approve a Budget Amendment to increase Appropriations in District Attorney (Fund 1000, Subdivision 1300000, Account 55400) by $28,549 for the purchase of the digital video and audio interview room system offset by an increase of $28,549 in Federal - Other Funding (Fund 1000, Subdivision 1300000, Account 43890
