Approve and authorize Agreement No. 260160B with Daniel B. Peters, Ph.D, a Psychological Corporation doing business as "Summit Center" to conduct targeted diagnostic evaluations for youth. (Fiscal Impact: $87,000 Expense, General Fund, Budgeted, Discretionary)

BACKGROUND
The consultant's services include a targeted evaluation model, designed to assess neurodevelopmental, academic, social, emotional, and other processing concerns in selected probation youth. The consultant's approach is intentionally comprehensive yet streamlined to ensure evaluations are clinically informative and practically relevant for case planning, intervention recommendations, and court proceedings. The consultant's team brings extensive expertise in working with youth populations impacted by trauma, learning differences, and behavioral health challenges.
The scope of this particular assessment model provides a foundational profile of the youth's emotional and social development and neurocognitive profile. The consultant shall identify clinical and cognitive concerns impacting functioning and clarify diagnoses to guide intervention and service delivery. The findings will allow for planning and collaboration in recommending appropriate county and/or school-based supports.
Dr. Daniel Peters has knowledge, expertise and has personally worked with Probation's Juvenile Hall as a Mental Health clinician. In addition, he has worked with ALDEA, a non-profit providing current treatment services to Probation youth. Dr. Peters and his team are uniquely qualified to provide a skillset and team of experts to provide comprehensive services immediately to Probation's Skyline Academy youth.
