BACKGROUND

This matter is before the Board of Supervisors upon referral at the June 17, 2025, meeting of the Board by District 1 Supervisor Joelle Gallagher. Supervisor Gallagher requested a resolution related to the freedom of the press and the ability of the press to carry out their work without undue impediment and without fear of harassment or violence. Staff prepared the attached resolution for adoption by the Board.
