BACKGROUND
On March 8, 2016, the Board approved Space License Agreement No. 160032B with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) at the County's Atlas Peak Communications facility and tower to install and operate radio transmitting and receiving equipment.
Amendment No. 1 will allow PG&E to install and operate additional equipment at the Atlas Peak facility and tower, including Ultra High Frequency (UHF) antennas and microwave radios with the assigned rack space, and a three-port panel to support PG&E's transmission line. This equipment will allow radio communication for PG&E personnel working in areas with limited or no cellular reception.
REQUESTED ACTION:
Approve and authorize Amendment No. 1 to Telecommunications Space License Agreement No. 160032B with Pacific Gas and Electric Company, with no change in the term, to allow PG&E to install additional equipment at the County's Atlas Peak Telecommunication facility to enable radio communication for personnel operating in areas with limited or no reception and to increase the annual rental amount from $4,915 to $17,284 in fiscal year 2026-2027, prorated for any partial year, with a co...
