Approve and authorize Agreement No. 260308B with Fortify Fire Protection for a maximum contract amount of $105,400 per fiscal year to provide monitoring, testing, inspection, and maintenance services for fire alarms systems at various County locations for a three-year term of April 28, 2026 to June 30, 2029, with two one-year automatic renewal options. BACKGROUND
Today's action will approve an agreement with Fortify Fire Protection effective April 28, 2026, for fire alarms systems monitoring, testing, inspection, and maintenance service, with a maximum compensation amount beginning in fiscal year 2026-27 through fiscal year 2028-29 of $70,400 for Routine Services, $35,000 for Non-Routine services for a total maximum of $105,400 per fiscal year, with the provision for two one-year automatic renewal options.
The monitoring, testing, inspection, and maintenance scope of work under this agreement will be effective July 1, 2026. However, the agreement will be effective upon execution so the monitoring services transitional scope of work can be accomplished prior to services start date to avoid service disruption and ensure compliance.
Napa County's current agreement for fire alarms systems monitoring, testing, inspection, and maintenance services is expiring as of June 30, 2026. As part of a competitive procurement process and in accordance with County purchasing policy, County staff issued a Request for Proposal (RFP No. PM122501) for these services on December 3, 2025.
