BACKGROUND
There are currently four openings on the Napa County Wildlife Conservation Commission due to term expirations. The County Executive Office advertised the openings and received three applications from Leslie Lew, Charles Burton, and Molly Moran Williams.
The purpose of the Wildlife Conservation Commission (WCC) is to advise the Board of Supervisors on policy matters related to the preservation and enhancement of wildlife and their habitats. This includes how funds received by Napa County, which is comprised of Fish and Game fines that are expended for the preservation, propagation, and protection of birds, mammals, fish, and amphibians.

The WCC consists of eight members appointed by the Board of Supervisors as follows:
* Four members representing the Public at Large;
* One Sportsperson/Angler;
* One Wildlife/Conservation representative;
* One Youth between the ages of 15 and 25; and
* One Planning Commission representative.
On January 7, 2026, the Napa County Planning Commission met at a regular meeting and voted to recommend Molly Moran Williams to represent the Planning Commission on the Napa County Wildlife Conservation Commission. (meeting minutes attached)
