BACKGROUND
On March 12, 2024, the board approved Agreement No. 240310B with Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) to distribute state and federal funding and subsidies for high-speed internet access for public libraries and perform the functions of the Statewide Broadband Aggregator on behalf of the California State Library. All Library branches currently have an internet speed of 1 Gbps (gigabit per second) and at this time the Napa Library would like to increase the internet speed to 10 Gbps to allow for faster internet use by the public for Wi-Fi, publicly accessible computers, and any other devices.

Requested Action:
Approve and authorize Amendment No. 1 to Agreement 240310B with Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) effective July 1, 2025, through July 1, 2030, for a total contract maximum of $250,000 to continue to provide Internet service to all library locations with an upgrade to 10 Gbps at the Napa Library.
