Reappointment of Manuel Rios representing Napa County Farm Bureau, Judith Myers representing Affordable Housing Developer, Keri R. Akemi-Hernandez representing Real Estate Field or Real Estate Developer, and Mike Swanton to represent Napa Valley Vintners on the Napa County Housing Commission with terms of office to commence immediately and expire on October 1, 2027. (No Fiscal Impact)

BACKGROUND
There are currently seven openings due to term expirations and vacancies on the Napa County Housing Commission. The County Executive Office advertised the openings and received four applications from Manuel Rios, Judith Myers, Keri R. Akemi-Hernandez, and Mike Swanton.
On August 8, 2023, the Napa County Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance No.1484 amending Section 2.102.020 of Chapter 2.102 - Housing Commission, to add a seat to the Napa County Housing Commission to be filled by a representative of the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation.
On August 11, 2015 the Napa County Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 2015-106 amending the Bylaws of the Napa County Housing Commission reorganizing the membership of the commission from eleven members to eight members comprising six (6) Housing Commissioners and two (2) Tenant Commissioners. On August 25, 2015 Ordinance No. 1402 amended Chapter 2.102 of the Napa County Code reorganizing the composition and expanding the duties of the Napa County Housing Commission.
The Napa County Housing Commission (NCHC) was established by Ordinance No. 1289 of the Board of Supervisors of Napa County on April 24, 2007, pursuant to Article 3.5 of Chapter 1 of Part 2 of Division 24 (commencing with section 34200) of the California Health and Safety Code.
