Reappoint Teressa Foss, for a sixth term, representing County-At-Large with the term of office to commence immediately and expire September 30, 2028 and reappoint Jesse Petrick, for a third term, representing County-At-Large with the term of office to commence immediately and expire September 30, 2026 on the Napa County Arts and Culture Advisory Committee. BACKGROUND
There are currently three vacancies due to expired terms on the Napa County Arts and Culture Advisory Committee. The County Executive Office advertised the vacancies and received two reappointment requests applications from Teressa Foss and Jesse Petrick.
On June 19, 2012, the Board adopted Resolution 2012-81 forming the Napa County Arts and Culture Advisory Committee (Advisory Committee). The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to conduct and oversee a grant program and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors regarding grant awards to be made to non-profit art and cultural organizations in Napa County on an annual or as needed basis. The Advisory Committee develops grant eligibility criteria, an application process and application forms, appropriately advertises and calls for grant proposals, holds grant training workshops, as needed, and develops scoring criteria and guidelines for evaluating grant applications. The Advisory Committee meets on the last Monday of the months of January, April and October each year and calls special meetings as needed.
On May 16, 2017 the Board adopted Resolution 2017-75 amending the Bylaws of the Advisory Committee changing the composition of the Advisory Committee and making revisions related to voting, terms of office and conduct of meetings.
