Approve and authorize Agreement No. 250239B with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore to provide specialized legal advice and representation to Napa County regarding labor and employment matters, with a term from October 1, 2024 to June 30, 2029, and an annual maximum compensation amount of $75,000 per fiscal year. (Fiscal impact: $75,000 Expense; General Fund; Budgeted; Discretionary).

BACKGROUND
The County and Liebert Cassidy Whitmore (LCW) previously entered into Agreement No. 190309B for legal advice and consultation related to labor and employment matters. That Agreement expired on June 30, 2024. LCW has provided expert legal advice to the County for many years. The County wishes to continue using LCW's services, and therefore it is necessary to enter into a new Agreement for labor and employment legal services. The term of Agreement No. 250239B is October 1, 2024 through June 30, 2029. Under the new Agreement, the maximum compensation cannot exceed $75,000 per fiscal year. LCW is not a local vendor.
Requested Action:
Approve and authorize Agreement No. 250239B for $75,000, effective October 1, 2024.
