SUBJECT: Amendment to Universal Protection Service Agreement

County Executive Officer requests approval of and authorization for the Chair to sign Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 230252B with Universal Protection Services, LP, dba Allied Universal Security Services (Allied Universal), for an annual maximum of $565,375 in FY 23/24, $611,090 in FY 24/25, $626,285 in FY 25/26, and $639,755 in FY 26/27 for the term January 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025, with two additional one-year annual renewal options, for security and patrol services.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The County contracts for security and patrol services with Allied Universal at properties owned or occupied by the County. The initial agreement was approved December 13, 2022, and two amendments were approved in March 2023 to accommodate for additional routine services and in August 2023 to add a location. Today's requested action is to approve amendment three to provide armed security officers in the lobby of the County Administration Building.
