BACKGROUND

The Board of Supervisors may allocate community grant funds for nonprofit support and community benefit.

Lideres Campesinas, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is a grassroots organization that improves the lives of women farmworkers through outreach to raise awareness about their rights and resources available. The $500 Board of Supervisors’ District 4 community grant will help fund the CampesinXmas Event for farmworker families.

Requested Action: Approve and authorize allocation of Board of Supervisors’ funds for nonprofit support and community benefit.
