BACKGROUND
On June 12, 2026, the District was awarded a grant for $600,000 by the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority (SFBRA) for the design and permitting of the Napa River Estuary Enhancement and Public Access Project (Project). The Project consists of restoring approximately 46 acres of wetland and creating a passive recreation area and access to the Project and the South Wetlands Opportunity Area. In its grant application and as a condition of award, the District will contribute $90,000 of in-kind match funds related to Project management and community outreach.
Requested Actions:
1. Adopt a resolution accepting San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority grant funds and approve authority for District Engineer or Watershed and Flood Control Operations Manager to sign the grant agreement and other relevant documents; and
2.
