BACKGROUND
In October 2024, the County's Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) released a Request for Proposal (RFP) for outpatient Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) to serve adults and older adults throughout Napa County who meet criteria for SMHS and have coverage through Medi-Cal or Medicare Medi-Cal (Medi-Medi). Mentis, Inc., was selected to provide these services due to their long standing and well-established history providing these types of services to Napa County residents.

This program will include behavioral health therapy for community members experiencing serious mental illness, including diagnoses such as Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder and/or psychotic disorders. These clinic therapy services will help to promote increased coping skills, symptom reduction and emotional regulation. The services will be offered by licensed or registered clinicians in both English and Spanish, based on the expressed language need of the community member. Services will be provided at Mentis' new clinical campus in Napa, various sites in the community, and via telehealth platforms.
