BACKGROUND
There are currently three vacancies due to term expirations on the Napa County Arts and Culture Advisory Committee. The County Executive Office advertised the vacancies and received three applications from Teressa Foss, James Bailey, and Jeffrey L. Prather.
On June 19, 2012, the Board adopted Resolution 2012-81 forming the Napa County Arts and Culture Advisory Committee (Advisory Committee). The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to conduct and oversee a grant program and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors regarding grant awards to be made to non-profit art and cultural organizations in Napa County on an annual or as needed basis. The Advisory Committee develops grant eligibility criteria, an application process and application forms, appropriately advertises and calls for grant proposals, holds grant training workshops, as needed, and develops scoring criteria and guidelines for evaluating grant applications. The Advisory Committee meets on the last Monday of the months of January, April and October each year and calls special meetings as needed.
