Approve and authorize removing a deprecated, obsolete, and unusable security camera system, Asset No. 100465, from the Agricultural Commissioner’s Inventory. (No Fiscal Impact; Discretionary)

BACKGROUND

Agriculture Department had a B&H Security Camera system installed in 2016. The security camera system was replaced by communications in 2023 and the old security camera systems were disposed, but remain on department’s capital asset list.

Requested actions:
1. Declare Asset No. 100465 no longer required for public use;
2. Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent and Auditor Controller to remove Asset No. 100465 from County Capital Asset listing and inventory.
3. Ratify the 2023 disposal of e-waste.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.
