BACKGROUND
Napa County's Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) is committed to reducing barriers that impede access to services and improve the effectiveness of services provided to all County residents. To achieve this objective, HHSA provides employees with a series of trainings, through qualified On the Move trainers, designed to equip staff with essential skills that foster a respectful and welcoming environment for all individuals. Staff develop practical tools to engage effectively with clients and explore how to provide sensitive, person-centered services that honor the unique experiences and needs of those we serve, ensuring every person feels valued, heard, and respected. The focus is on building understanding, empathy, and respect, helping staff respond to the cultures, identities, and lived experiences of community members served through HHSA programs and services. This amendment reflects an increase in fees for providing these trainings and reconfiguring the number and type of sessions to better address HHSA's needs.
