BACKGROUND
Elections Code Section 15372 provides that the elections official shall prepare a certified statement of the results of the Primary Election held on June 2, 2026 and submit it to the governing body within 30 days of the certification of the election. The Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk, in his capacity as ex-officio Registrar of Voters, is providing the certified results with this agenda item. Elections Code Section 15400 provides that the governing body (Board of Supervisors) shall declare elected those persons to offices under its jurisdiction and declare the results of each measure voted on at the election.
The offices for this election under Board jurisdiction are: Napa County Superintendent of Schools; Napa County Supervisor District 1 and Napa County Supervisor District 3.
Requested Action: Motion to Declare elected Joshua Schultz Napa County Superintendent of Schools. Joelle Gallagher Napa County Supervisor District 1 and Anne Cottrell Napa County Supervisor District 3.
