EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
RSA+ was originally hired by the Authority on July 14, 2022, to design the Authority’s new C&D Building. Through this Agreement No. 2023-02 and two prior amendments, RSA+ prepared the plans and specifications and provided continued support to the Authority during the design and bidding phase of the project. The third amendment was for construction administration support during construction of the project.

During construction, the Authority needed additional services from RSA+. Examples include adding a west wall equipment door, design of internal egress fire stairs required by American Canyon Fire District (ACFD), unanticipated meetings with ACFD regarding fire sprinklers, and design work to accommodate the future installation of sorting and recycling equipment. The Authority estimates these and other Authority driven changes to be the approximate cost of $250,000.

The proposed fourth amendment to the Agreement will cover those costs and retain RSA+ services for the remainder of the project to ensure construction follows the project design, monitor compliance with stormwater requirements, and assist with the closeout of the project.
