Appoint one of the following applicants to the Napa County Wildlife Conservation Commission to represent the Youth member with terms of office to commence immediately and expire on February 1, 2028. (No Fiscal Impact)

BACKGROUND
There is currently one opening on the Napa County Wildlife Conservation Commission due to term expiration. The County Executive Office advertised the opening and received two applications from Charles L. Caruso and Ava Marie D. Maharaj.
The purpose of the Wildlife Conservation Commission (WCC) is to advise the Board of Supervisors on policy matters related to the preservation and enhancement of wildlife and their habitats. This includes how funds received by Napa County, which is comprised of Fish and Game fines that are expended for the preservation, propagation, and protection of birds, mammals, fish, and amphibians.
The WCC consists of eight members appointed by the Board of Supervisors as follows:
* Four members representing the Public at Large;
* One Sportsperson/Angler;
* One Wildlife/Conservation representative;
* One Youth between the ages of 15 and 25; and
* One Planning Commission representative.
PROCEDURAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Staff reports.
2. Public comments.
3. Motion, second, discussion and vote on the item.
Requested Action:
Appoint one of the applicants to represent the Youth member to the Napa County Wildlife Conservation Commission.
