RECOMMENDATION

title

Adopt a Resolution approving the Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) for the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association Law Enforcement Unit and Law Enforcement Supervisory Unit for the term October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2028. (No Fiscal Impact)

body

BACKGROUND

The bargaining teams previously entered a Total Tentative Agreement (TTA) which was approved by the Board of Supervisors on October 21, 2025. The Board was advised that staff would incorporate the terms of the TTA into revised and rewritten successor MOUs conforming to the negotiated terms. The terms of the TTA have been incorporated into the revised Deputy Sheriffs’ Association Law Enforcement Unit and Law Enforcement Supervisory Unit successor MOUs. Today's requested action will approve the revised language of the successor MOUs between the County and the two Units for the term October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2028.

Today's action does not have a fiscal impact. The fiscal impact of negotiations was reviewed and approved by the Board at the time the TTA was presented on October 21, 2025. The Resolution and Exhibits presented for approval reflect the amendments negotiated between the County and the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association negotiations team.

Requested Action:
Adopt a resolution approving the successor MOUs between the County and the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association Law Enforcement Unit and Law Enforcement Supervisory Unit for the term October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2028.
