BACKGROUND
The Department has had a LiveScan machine since the Board approved the purchase in 2005. LiveScan is part of the booking process for felony and misdemeanor offenses at Juvenile Hall. Idemia provides vital maintenance and repair services for the software and hardware associated with the LiveScan. This vendor will be available to provide on-site maintenance of the equipment, nine business hours a day, five business days a week. The agreement authorizes Idemia to continue servicing and maintaining the LiveScan machine to ensure the system is in good working order.
Requested Action:
Approve and authorize Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 200094 with Idemia Identity & Security USA, LLC, to extend the term from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, with an automatic annual renewal and no increase to the $9,000 contract maximum to provide annual maintenance services for the fingerprinting equipment located at the Napa County Probation Juvenile Hall.

If the agreement is not approved, vital fingerprinting systems will be suspended if a system breakdown occurs. The LiveScan is needed to fingerprint individuals upon booking at the Juvenile Hall. |

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.
