BACKGROUND

Counties providing specialty mental health services under a managed Mental Health Plan contract with Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) must meet certain conditions and requirements to receive state and federal funding for these community mental health services. This Agreement, which is the County’s performance contract, as required by Welfare and Institutions Code (W&I) sections 5650(a), 5847, and Title 9, California Code of Regulations (CCR), section 3310, sets forth conditions and requirements that County must meet in order to receive funding from the following sources: Mental Health Services Act (State funds), Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH-Federal funds), Community Mental Health Services Block Grant (MHBG-Federal Funds), and Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (SUBG) from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

This amendment extends the current agreement for one additional year, to be effective through June 30, 2026.
