BACKGROUND
On May 16, 2023, the County entered into an agreement with Self-Insured Services Company, d.b.a. Benefit Coordinators Corporation to provide specialized services related to COBRA administration and leave of absence/retiree billing.
The Contractor will act as the COBRA Administrator for the County and provide administrative services to assist the County in complying with the continuation of coverage provisions of COBRA. This Amendment extends the term of the agreement with no increase in fees and incorporates vendor-requested standardization of boilerplate language.
Requested Action: Approve and authorize Amendment No.1 to Agreement No. 230412B with Self Insured Services d.b.a. Benefit Coordinators Corporation, effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028, with a contract maximum of $60,000 annually.

Future fiscal impact: |
The costs for the proposed agreement were previously accounted for within existing Human Resources budgetary constraints for Benefits Administration vendors. Future appropriations will be budgeted accordingly. |

The County will no longer have support to ensure compliance and oversight to COBRA administration and leave of absence/retiree billing functions. |
