BACKGROUND
Board of Supervisors adopted the Napa County Library policy, Section 29, authorizing the Library Director to accept on behalf of the Napa County Library donations in the amount of $2,000 or less, and up to $10,000 by Friends of the Library groups to support existing Library services and programs.
Director of Library Services and Community Outreach seeks the Board's approval to accept a donation in the amount of $3,000 from the Rasmussen Family Fund, a Donor advised Fund of Napa Valley Community Foundation, for the Napa County Library literacy center. The donation will help fund literacy projects and programs at the Napa County Library. Staff requests acceptance of the donation and authorization for the Chair to sign the attached letter of appreciation. Donations are deposited into the Napa County Library Fund accordingly, and will be used to support ongoing services, projects, and programs.
Requested actions:
1. Authorization to accept a donation in the amount of $3,000 from Rasmussen Family Fund; and
2. Chair to sign a letter of appreciation in acceptance of the donation.
