Approve and authorize Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 210324B with GHD, Inc. to extend the contract term end date to June 30, 2025, with no change to the maximum compensation, in support of Project RDS 23-11R - Minor Bridge Repairs (No fiscal impact; Budgeted; Discretionary).

BACKGROUND
GHD is requesting an increase to the Agreement term by an additional fiscal year to provide design services for work on minor bridge repairs that have either already begun or are in process.
On May 7, 2024, the Board awarded a construction contract to Ashron Construction for the 2023 Minor Bridge Repairs Project and construction will be extended through August of 2024. GHD is the engineer of record for this work and their support is needed during construction, such as submittal review and construction inspection.
GHD has also been providing surveying services for the Skyline Park purchase and has provided legal descriptions for the initial purchase which is currently being reviewed by the State of California. The State is also planning to make other parcels available for purchase next fiscal year that have previously been surveyed by GHD and would likely require additional legal descriptions and survey work.
Requested Action:
Approve and authorize Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 210324B with GHD, Inc. to extend the contract term an additional year, with no change to the maximum compensation, in support of Project RDS 23-11R - Minor Bridge Repairs.

Construction support services will not be provided which could affect the quality of the project and delay work. Recruiting and starting out with a new surveyor on the Skyline Park purchase would not be cost effective and have schedule implications. |

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable
