SUBJECT: Reporting of donations received by the Library January 1, 2022 through March 31, 2022 and acceptance of a donation in the amount of $65,000.

Director of Library Services and Community Outreach requests the following:
1. Board to accept and instruct the Clerk of the Board to file the quarterly report of donations in the amount of $2,000 or less gifted to Library from January 1, 2022 through March 31, 2022;
2. Authorization to accept a donation in the amount of $65,000 from the Napa County Library Foundation; and
3. Chair to sign a letter of appreciation in acceptance of the donation.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Director of Library Services and Community Outreach is reporting that the Library received $521 in multiple donation during the third quarter of fiscal year 2021-2022. The donations were accepted by the Director in accordance with Resolution 99-56 and deposited within the Library Fund.
Director of Library Services and Community Outreach seeks the Board's approval to accept a donation in the amount of $65,000 from the Napa County Library Foundation.
The donation will help fund projects and programs provided to the community at the Napa County Library locations. Today's action will allow for the orderly acceptance of the Napa County Library Foundation donation.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
On June 1, 1999, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 99-56 authorizing the Library Director to accept on behalf of the Napa County Library donations in the amount of $2,000 or less to support existing Library services and programs. Today, the Director of Library Services and Community Outreach is reporting donations received during the third quarter of fiscal year 2021-2022 in the amount of $521.
On March 17, 2022, the Library received a donation in the amount of $65,000 from Napa County Library Foundation donation. The donation will help fund projects and programs provided to the community at the Napa County Library locations.
Staff requests acceptance of the donations and authorization for the Chair to sign the attached letter of appreciation. The donations will be deposited into the Library Fund accordingly and will be used to support ongoing projects and programs.
