body
BACKGROUND
Approval of Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 250070B with St. Francis Electric will increase the maximum compensation from $150,000 to $200,000 per fiscal year for electrical maintenance and on call services to provide preventative maintenance repair, and inspection services for traffic signals, streetlights, lighted crosswalks, flashing beacons, radar speed detection signs, safety lighting, and any other lighting equipment on County-owned roadway networks. The increase in maximum compensation is requested due to higher-than-expected repairs and storm damage. Increasing compensation is necessary to continue services without interruption.
On August 20, 2024, as a result of a competitive request for proposals process, the Board of Supervisors authorized Agreement No. 250070B with St. Francis Electric to provide electrical maintenance and on call services for lighting equipment on County-owned roadway networks. The agreement commenced on July 1, 2024, for a term of three years with a renewal provision of two years.
