BACKGROUND
The Board of Supervisors may allocate community grant funds for nonprofit support and community benefit.

The amount of $1,000 of Board of Supervisors’ District 1 community grant will be donated to all three beneficiaries focused on gun violence prevention.
The second is Napa Pride 2026, a month that celebrates and supports the LGBTQ community. The amount of $2,500 of Board of Supervisors’ District 1 community grant will be used to fund Napa Pride 2026. Napa Pride’s fiscal sponsor is the Napa County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Napa Pride is dedicated to creating a culturally diverse and informed community that amplifies the voices of queer and trans youth, peers and elders.
The third is Viva Mariachi at Napa Valley College, a cultural event that promotes the rich heritage and traditions of Mexico through Mariachi music and music education. The amount of $1,500 of Board of Supervisors’ District 1 community grant will be used to fund Viva Mariachi at Napa Valley College to learn about the thriving programs throughout the United States that are effective in promoting student success, all while enriching the cultural vitality.
