RECOMMENDATION

title

Accept an anonymous donation in the amount of $11,350 to the County Children’s Trust Fund (CCTF).  (Fiscal Impact: $11,350; Health and Human Services Agency Fund 2000; Child Welfare Services Division, Special Revenue Fund Children’s Trust Fund 2000450; Budgeted; Discretionary)

body

BACKGROUND

In 1983, the legislature passed Assembly Bill 2994, which authorized the creation of a CCTF. The purpose of the CCTF is to support child abuse prevention services in the community and to fund child abuse prevention coordinating councils (CAPCs).

HHSA received a donation of $11,350 from an organization that wishes to remain anonymous. Board Resolution No. 05-40 and the Recommended Procedure for the Acceptance and Disbursement of Gifts, Bequests, or Devices requires that donations in excess of $1,000 be accepted by the Board of Supervisors (Board).

If the Board accepts these funds they will be deposited into the CCTF which resides in HHSA’s budget, and will be applied to help fund our local CAPC.
