BACKGROUND

On August 19, 2025, this Board conducted a public hearing to consider the intention to adopt an ordinance amending Napa County’s Contract with the Board of Administration of the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) to confirm cost share changes for unrepresented employees which include the miscellaneous management, miscellaneous confidential, and safety management groups. In the CalPERS review of the documents submitted by Human Resources, CalPERS notified Human Resources that the Resolution of Intention form was not included and is required. Approval and adoption of this resolution of intent effective August 19, 2025, satisfies the CalPERS requirement.
