BACKGROUND

Redwood Toxicology Laboratory provides urine and saliva testing to determine the presence of amphetamines, opiates, barbiturates, cocaine, benzodiazepines, creatinine, alcohol, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and other controlled substances. At the request of the Probation Officer, the vendor also tests for additional substances beyond the standard panel, with results typically provided within 48 hours. Redwood Toxicology supplies all necessary materials, including forms, specimen labels, collection containers, and security seals. These testing services support Probation Officers in monitoring compliance with the terms and conditions of probation/formal supervision and help ensure accountability.

Requested Action:
Approve and authorize Agreement No. 270058B for the term from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 with a contract maximum of $56,500.
