RECOMMENDATION
title
Approve and authorize Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 180221B with Jump Technology Services, LLC, to increase the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 contract maximum by $3,600 to $24,335.36 to account for a one-time fee to integrate a new component to the case management software used by Health and Human Services Agency Comprehensive Services for Older Adults (CSOA) Adult Protective Services Program (APS) (Fiscal Impact: $24,335.36 Expense; Health and Human Services Agency Fund, Comprehensive Services for Older Adults Division; Budgeted; Discretionary).
body
BACKGROUND
Adult Protective Services Program (APS) is a State mandated program charged with the investigation of allegations of abuse and neglect perpetrated against dependent adults and individuals aged 60 years and older who reside outside of licensed facilities. APS works closely with the District Attorney's (DA) Office and local law enforcement agencies to provide protective services for this vulnerable population. Additionally, APS coordinates interventions and social services intended to maintain positive outcomes for individuals referred to the program.
Jump Technologies Services, LLC, provides LEAPS Software which assists the APS social worker in complying with State regulations and in maintaining a comprehensive database on all reports of abuse. Staff from County’s APS program participated in a multi-county workgroup to inform the development of an Intake Screening Tool (IST) which, once embedded in the application, will provide consistency in screening and evaluation, supporting guided decision making and documentation in the intake process. This amendment to an agreement subject to automatic renewal reflects a one-time fee of $3,600 to develop and implement the IST into the LEAPS Application.
