The Planning, Building, and Environmental Services (PBES) Department supports seven advisory bodies, including the Planning Commission, Airport Land Use Committee, Climate Action Committee, Zoning Administrator, Technical Advisory Group, Watershed Information and Conservation Council, and Drought Water Shortage Taskforce, along with several joint and ad-hoc meetings. The Administrative Secretary series (I and II) are classifications which can fulfill the clerk functions required to support these advisory bodies.  Currently, the Administrative Secretary II allocation in being underfilled by a lower-level classification.  To maintain appropriate levels of the clerking function, as well as other administrative support duties assigned to the team, PBES is requesting that a vacant Office Assistant II position be reallocated to an Administrative Secretary I classification.
