BACKGROUND

The County currently contracts with Buckelew Programs, Inc., to provide specialty mental health services through the Supportive Living Program (SLP). The SLP helps these residents obtain and maintain stable housing, offering mental health services and community support.

This agreement will augment the previous agreement by providing Behavioral Health Bridge Housing (BHBH) funding to Buckelew for rental assistance, allowing them to direct BHBH grant funds to residents of their master-leased housing units in Napa, who are clients of HHSA being served in the Behavioral Health Division. Qualified residents who meet BHBH criteria for both homelessness and serious mental illness (SMI) will receive monthly rental assistance. A total of $67,431 has been added to the previous contract maximum through June 30, 2027, the BHBH grant end date. Language specific to BHBH client funding requirements has been added to Exhibits A and B of this agreement.
