BACKGROUND

The Centre for Organization Effectiveness conducts specialized professional development academies, training, coaching, and strategic planning sessions for all County departments on an as-needed basis. The proposed amendment is backdated to account for increased usage in Fiscal Year 2023-2024. Additionally, this amendment extends the term of the agreement, with the option to extend for three additional years through June 30, 2028, updates hourly rates in Exhibit B, and increases the maximum annual amount of compensation from $165,000 to $500,000 per fiscal year.

Future fiscal impact:

Specialized services are used on an as-needed basis and will be budgeted for accordingly by Human Resources and the departments paying for the services under the agreement, not to exceed $500,000 annually.

Consequences if not approved:

If the proposed contract amendment is not approved, the current agreement with The Centre for Organization Effectiveness will expire sooner, rates will be out of date, and the annual maximum amount of compensation will be insufficient.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 153798 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.
