Staff recommends Chair sign Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 250242D with Clean Earth Environmental Solutions, Inc., amending the rates of compensation and increasing the per fiscal year maximum amount allowed under the agreement to $74,000.

BACKGROUND
Upper Valley Waste Management Agency (UVWMA) is currently in year two of a three year agreement with Clean Earth Environmental Solutions, Inc. (Clean Earth) to provide services for mobilization for household hazardous waste events and disposal of collected wastes. The current agreement with Clean Earth allows for rate increases not more frequently than once per calendar year. Clean Earth staff have notified UVWMA of a proposed 5% rate increase. Clean Earth staff stated that the rate increase is to accommodate increases in transportation, disposal and labor. The current per fiscal year maximum amount allowed is $70,000. The proposed increased to $74,000 will allow for an overall 5% increase to match with the increased costs with Clean Earth.
A copy of the draft amendment is included as Attachment A - Clean Earth Environmental Solutions - Amendment 1 to Agreement 250242D - DRAFT. The amendment was not yet approved by Clean Earth at the time of agenda publish.
