body
BACKGROUND
The Board of Supervisors may allocate community grant funds for non-profit support and community benefit. The purpose of this allocation is to sponsor Meet Me in the Street, the largest community event in American Canyon hosted by the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce. Held annually on the second Wednesday of June, July, and August, this event brings together thousands of community members to connect with businesses, nonprofits, government services, and each other. The event is free to attend and open to all community members. Sponsoring the event will help underwrite event expenses while providing the opportunity for community members to connect with their District Representative at each event. Napa County would be recognized as a sponsor on event materials, further demonstrating a commitment to fostering community connection.
Requested Action: Approve and authorize allocation of Board of Supervisors’ District 5 community grant funds of $1,250 to sponsor Meet Me in the Street, a free, community event that brings together businesses, nonprofits, local government, youth, families, and community members.
