Approve and authorize allocation of Board of Supervisors’ District 4 community grant funds to Arts Council Napa Valley’s Visual and Performing Arts Student of the Year Celebration to provide support and community benefit. (Fiscal Impact: $1,000 Expense; Budgeted; General Fund; Discretionary)

BACKGROUND
The Board of Supervisors may allocate community grant funds for nonprofit support and community benefit. The purpose of this allocation is to support five nonprofit’s mission.
Arts Council Napa Valley, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is Napa County’s designated arts agency, executing programs and services countywide benefitting and uplifting our local arts and culture sector and community as a whole. The amount of $1,000 of Board of Supervisors’ District 4 community grant will be used to fund the Visual and Performing Arts Student of the Year Event. This sponsorship will invest in artists in the community to continue to build their skillset and connecting them to opportunities in their fields.
Requested Action: Approve and authorize allocation of Board of Supervisors’ funds for nonprofit support and community benefit.
