Approve and authorize Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 230240B with Traditions Psychiatry Group, PC dba Traditions Behavioral Health, to increase the contract maximum from $2,669,570 to $2,749,644 for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, and each subsequent renewal, for the continued provision of on-site psychiatrists and a psychiatric medical director for Napa County’s Health and Human Services Agency’s Behavioral Health Medication Clinic. BACKGROUND
In 2023, Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) transitioned the provision of medical doctor psychiatry services to a contracted provider staffing model to enhance continuity of patient care and staffing stability. Traditions Behavioral Health (TBH) has delivered such services and provided administrative oversight for all County medication clinic responsibilities, including maintaining a fully staffed clinic with onsite psychiatrists and a psychiatric medical director. This amendment reflects an increase to the contract maximum to account for a 3 percent increase to psychiatrist and psychiatric medical director hourly rates.
Requested Actions:
1. Approve and authorize Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 230240B with Traditions Psychiatry Group, PC dba Traditions Behavioral Health, to increase the contract maximum by $80,074 for a new contract maximum of $2,749,644 for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, and each subsequent renewal, for the continued provision of a on-site psychiatrists and a psychiatric medical director for Napa County HHSA’s Behavioral Health Medication Clinic.

This agreement contains a provision for automatic annual renewal. Appropriations have been included in the proposed 2026-2027 budget and future fiscal years will be budgeted accordingly. |

Consequences if not approved: |
If not approved, HHSA’s Medication Clinic would not be able to accommodate rate revisions that would directly affect the ability to provide timely and reliable access to psychiatry services negatively impacting patient care and risk of regulatory sanctions. |
